About CSE Department in RV College of Engineering

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering was founded in 1984. The Department of Computer Science and Engineering provides three undergraduate programs: B.E (CSE), B.E (CSE- Data Science), and B.E (CSE- Cyber Security), as well as two postgraduate programs: M.Tech (CSE) and M.Tech (CNE). Additionally, the department provides Ph.D. and M.Sc. by research in a number of computer science and engineering subjects. A new B.E (CSE-Data Science) and a B.E (CSE-Cyber Security) program are started in the academic year 2022-23.

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering has memorandums of understanding (MOUs) for study, services, and training with several international corporations and governmental organizations, including CISCO, Citrix, Nihon, Gnostice, Sapient, Infosys Technologies, and the Karnataka Forest Department. The department is supported by industry through labs from IBM, CISCO, and the Nvidia GPU research facility. Students are placed in reputable firms and encouraged to pursue interdisciplinary research in a variety of computer science fields, such as computer vision, data mining, networking, high-performance computing, etc.

Eligibility for Admission in CSE Department in RV College of Engineering:

Candidate should satisfy below requirements:

• He/She should have minimum of 70% in Science and Maths separately in class 10th. 
• He/She should have minimum of 65% in Physics and Maths separately in class 11th  
• He/She should have minimum of 60% in Physics and Maths separately in class 12th.
• Candidate must appear in KEA2023 / COMED-K 2023 / JEE MAINS 2023 and achieve a rank.
