COURSES FOR LAW AFTER 12TH

The duration of this course is 3 years. This course is the most commonly opted by candidates after 12th as this course only involves the study of Law as the only one option of study.
Integrated Undergraduate Degrees for law:
There are various courses available such as., BBA LL.B., B.COM LL.B., B.SC.LL.B., BA.LL.B. These are termed as integrated courses as this course not only serves the study of law but there is an integration of studies of management, Administration, Science(Chemistry, Biotechnology, Physics etc)
The duration of these courses are 3 years.
COURSES FOR LAW AFTER UNDER GRADUATION
The candidates who have complete either study of law under graduation degree can do a further study before practicing law.
MASTERS OF LAWS (L.L.M):
The L.L.M is a masters degree course for law students who have pursued their under graduation course.
The course of a study is either 1 or 2 depending upon the choice of study.
MASTER’S IN BUSINESS LAWS:
This is another course offered for candidates to have an encompassed knowledge of business laws enacted by government.

WAYS TO GET ADMISSION INTO LAW COLLEGES:
Well there are three ways of getting admission into Top Law Colleges. They are:
COUNSELLING WHICH IS BASED ON 12TH MARKS:
The counselling is conducted by the government which has a counselling session wherein the candidates are placed in institutions of law based upon their 12th marks(PUC/ISCE/CBSE/NIOS/STATE BOARD)
ENTRANCE EXAMS CONDUCTED BY THE GOVERNMENT:
There are several law colleges and universities that conduct their own entrance exams at the time of admission but the exams that are conducted by the government are definitely taken into consideration.
Exams like :
- AILET
- CLAT
- LSAT
- KLSAT
- AIBE
- ULSAT
These are written by the candidate right after the completion of 12th .
DIRECT ADMISSION VIA THE MANAGEMENT QUOTA:
When the student who does not have a real good score in his 12th or has not written any entrance exam conducted by the government then he may opt for Direct admission into the preferred college via Management quota.
Some seats are reserved by various colleges and universities as management quota seats for such candidates, and those who are willing to pay a higher amount of fees than the normal fees collected for the candidates with a good score and the students who has a handsome score in their entrance exams.
Even after applying for the Direct admission via management quota the candidate must go through entrance exam conducted by the preferred college or university.
ELIGIBILITY FOR ADMISSION IN TOP LAW COLLEGES:
There are various courses that can be opted by candidate who has completed his higher secondary education.
The most commonly opted course of LL.B requires the following eligibility criteria.
- The candidate must be at least of 17 years of age.
- The candidate must have a aggregate of 55% (50% for reserved categories) from a recognized board in his state in his higher secondary education.
- For an LL.M Course, the candidate must have passed his under graduation in LL.B course from a recognized college or university.
