Dr. Ambedkar Institute of Technology Bangalore (Dr. AIT) is an autonomous engineering college managed by Panchajanya Vidyapeetha Welfare Trust. This college is situated on the outer ring road, in Bangalore adjacent to Jnana Bharathi Campus of Bangalore University, Nagarbhavi, Bangalore, India. This institute was founded by M.H. Jayprakash Narayan in the year 1980 and was named after Dr B. R. Ambedkar the person who formed the constitution of India.
The college is recognised by AICTE, accredited by (NBA) National Board of Accreditation, New Delhi and is ISO 9001:2008 certified. The college offers a number of postgraduate and graduate courses along with 14 Research Centers having Ph.D students which come under Visvesvaraya Technological University, Karnataka. As this college is a Grant-in-aid Institution of Government of Karnataka around ninety five percent of the seats are admitted through CET cell on merit basis.
