Kasturba Medical College, Mangalore started in 30 June 1953 by Dr. T.M.A. Pai. Kasturba Medical College is one of the most prominent and premier medical colleges in India. It has been ranked among the top 3 medical colleges in India by The Hindu and India Today.

This Institution considered first self-financing medical Institution in the private sector. In 1969 clinical program started in KMC, but before this students used to go Mangalore for pre-clinical training. Once Clinical training started it becomes full-fledged independent college. This Institution is recognized by the General Medical Council of Great Britain and the Malaysian Medical Council, Indian Medical Council.

Eligibility Criteria

MBBS
Candidate should have obtained a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in PCB.Candidate should have Passed (10+2) or Higher Senior Secondary Certificate Examination with the Science stream including Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics (optional) and pass in the English literature from the CBSE or from the equivalent examination of any state / ISC recognized to it.

MD/MS
Candidate should have obtained a minimum of 50% aggregate marks.Candidate should have passed Graduation- Bachelor’s Degree in Medicine and Surgery (MBBS) with the One year of Compulsory Rotatory Internship obtained through the (10+2)+5 system from any of the recognized Universities incorporated by an act of the central or state legislature in India.
