Direct Admission in Great Lakes
Great Lakes Institute of Management (GLIM) was founded in 2004 by Padma Shri laureate Dr. Bala V. Balachandran, Professor Emeritus of Accounting Information & Management at the Kellogg School of Management. It now has campuses in Chennai and Gurgaon. The institute offers PGDM, PGPM, PGXPM, and PGPM Flex full-time management programmes. It has received permission from the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). It has also received certification from the NBA, the SAARC-recognized SAQS, the UK’s AMBA (Association of MBAs), and various postgraduate programmes.
Great Lakes Chennai provides full-time and corporate programmes, as well as executive programmes. It provides PGPM and PGDM programmes for one and two years, respectively. The corporate programmes include the MBA in Business Analytics and the Post Graduate Program in Management (PGXPM) for mid- and senior-level professionals.
PGPM FLEX is a weekend management programme for working people.
When applying to the PGPM and PGDM Flex programmes, candidates must have a minimum of two years of work experience. Applicants with more than 18 months of experience will be treated as special cases. Candidates with fewer than 24 months of work experience and freshmen are both eligible to apply for the PGDM programme.
Eligibility for admission in Great Lakes:
All candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in any field from an academic institution, along with a minimum GPA of 60%, in order to be considered for admission to the Great Lakes Institute of Management.
Great Lakes Institute of Management will accept GMAT results obtained after January 1, 2020, CAT results obtained in 2024 or 2025, XAT results obtained in 2024 or 2025, or CMAT results obtained in 2024 or 2025 for the PGDM 2025 intake.
How to Get Admission in Great Lakes
Candidates who meet the requirements can submit an online application to the Great Lakes Institute of Management.
Candidates must make a payment of INR 2,000 online before filling out the online application form on www.greatlakes.edu.in. Candidates may choose to submit separate applications to the Great Lakes campuses in Chennai and Gurgaon, or they may submit a single application for both campuses by choosing the relevant box on the registration form.
Candidates must supply the recommender’s official email address. The recommendation letter will be gathered from the final selected student’s recommenders and must be submitted online.

The campus placement procedure for the PGPM Class of 2022 was a success, with 100% of the students placed. The batch’s average CTC is 17.86 lakhs per year, with the maximum domestic CTC offered up to 33.26 lakhs per year.
