Dr. BR Ambedkar Medical College Bangalore (Dr. BRAMC) founded by Ananda Social and Educational Trust, is a symbolic representation of compassion and holy service to be adopted for the practice of modern medical education. The Ananda Social and Educational Trust was started as the outcome of a vision of dedicated Scheduled Caste intellectuals and philanthropists to make a positive contribution to the growth of SC and ST and underprivileged people. Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Medical College Bangalore was started by the Trust in 1981 by a group of nine Trustees.
The Ananda Social and Educational Trust, has a good experience in the field of Medical education, it also runs Dental College, School of Nursing, College of Physiotherapy.T he main Mission of this trust is to train doctors in the field of medicine for serving the community and to provide the knowledge base, compassionate attitudes and practical knowledge which are necessary to practice the latest medicine. This Institute initially affiliated to the Bangalore University and is now affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences Bangalore. Eligibility Criteria
MBBS
The candidate should have passed 10+2 with 50% marks. Karnataka CET (KEA), AIPMT.The candidate should have passed in the subjects Physics, Chemistry, Biology & English individually and must have obtained at least 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry & Biology taken together in the qualifying examinations.
MD/MS
Graduation and a bachelors degree in Medicine (MBBS) from any of the Universities incorporated by an act of the central or state legislature in India. A Relaxation of 5% aggregate is there for SC/ST candidates
