SJB Institute of Technology (SJBIT) Bangalore was established in the year 2001. It was started under the blessings of Jagadguru Padmabhushana Sri Sri Sri Dr. Balagangadharanatha Mahaswamiji of the Sri Adichunchanagiri Shikhshana Trust. The trust has around 450 institutions under it and SJBIT is one among it. The SJBIT is located 14 km from Bangalore city, near Kengeri.
It is affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belagavi and approved by AICTE, New Delhi. SJB Research Foundation (SJBRF) is a Section 25 non-profit company has been launched in the campus. It is a sponsored research center to bridge the gap between academic and industrial research. The main aim of the college is towards providing high quality education with social and intellectual growth for a comprehensive educational programme.
This college is ranked 14th as per the “DATA QUEST” Best Private T-Schools under the survey of 2015. The college has bagged a number of ranks for the University and is also honored by “Excellent Training & Placement Institute in Karnataka” by VTU, Belagavi.

Eligibility Criteria
Students should have passed second year PUC final examination with Mathematics and Physics as compulsory subjects. Minimum of 45% marks should be scored. SC/ST students should have obtained at least 40% of marks. The students should have passed in the entrance exam conducted by Government of Karnataka. Candidates are also given admission on the basis of Management Quota and NRI Quota.
